This year, Budapest Balboa Meeting will offer Full Passes only.
Last year, we unfortunately had to turn away many dancers who wanted to join the full event because we had already reached our capacity.
We would like to keep BBM at around 250 participants. For us, this is an important part of what makes the event special: smaller classes with a better learning experience, enough space to dance, and a comfortable, friendly atmosphere at the evening parties.
For this reason, we decided to give priority to dancers joining us for the full BBM experience and will not offer Party Passes this year.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you for the whole weekend! ❤️
Focus Session are available only to people with a confirmed Full Pass.
If you are currently on the waiting list, you cannot register for Focus Sessions yet. You will be able to sign up only after receiving and confirming your Full Pass.
For us, the essence of Slow Balboa lies in a hypnotic, floating motion — resembling a grain of pollen randomly drifting in water. True complexity doesn’t necessarily come from intricate footwork, but from how simple elements weave seamlessly together. Join us in exploring a deeper understanding of creating this effortless, organic feel through foundational connection and musical interaction.
Friday 18:45-20:15
The Art of Timing in Slow Partner Dancing.
Who really moves first in a partnership? When does the lead begin, when does the body respond, and how much time do we give our partner to react?
In this Focus Session, we’ll explore the subtle timing of leading and following in slow dancing. Drawing inspiration from Argentine Tango, we’ll discover how small changes in timing, intention, and response can transform the way we communicate and move together. It’s not just about who moves first, but how we create movement together.
In this session, we’ll dive into the playful dynamic of giving and taking up space, helping your true personality shine through the dance. Our focus is all on the partnership. Together, we’ll explore how to influence and inspire each other by playing with musicality, rhythm, footwork, and movement. We’re sharing our absolute favorite moments on the floor so you can walk away ready to create your own!

Swing Like It’s the 30s
Exploring the Roots of Old School Swing
